My thoughts on Excel LC

Hi!
I'm suppose to blog about our
weekend getaway (beach trip again),
but I saw this on my drafts.
Haven't finished writing my thoughts
on this product.

It is actually the Excel lip cream
which they claim as a dupe for
NYX's soft matte lip cream.
I saw this on most online shops
over Facebook.
I'm just having second thoughts
of buying this because we
never know what's in
it and where it came from (manufactured).
And with the price,
I thought there's really nothing
good in it.

I'm fond in joining auctions
these days, when I stumbled into
this which they had it on sale
for as low as Php 55!
Some online shops do retail
this at Php 100-150.

But, I was really disappointed
on the result. >_<

Here it goes.
I got the shade no. in 510.
The picture showed a nice
light orange shade so I chose this.

without flash
It comes in a sexy tube and an applicator
like of a lip gloss or lip cream.
What will you expect with a
Php 55 price tag?

with flash
I swatch it on my arm first.
It glided easily.
It is really a lovely red-orangey color,
but more of orange.
The color is very opaque.
But it turns out really dry
after a minute or two.
Not like NYX's creamy
but matte lip cream.
I'm like "o-oh".
The texture was like a paint or something
like an acrylic paint that dried up!

I tried removing it with my wet
tissues and added more water
but it wont come off!
I used our dish washing scrub
to take it all off.
I imagined it on my lips
and then use a scrub to take it off?
No way! LOL.

oops. wrong focus.

That thought scared me so
I never dared to try it on my lips.
I just wonder what ingredients are
used since there's no ingredients printed on.

I thought of selling this product before.
But now? Big NO.
I wont recommend people
to buy this again.

Safety first!

SUMMER : FAM BAM x Sun kissed = SUPER TAN!

After weeks of being a lazy home buddy,
finally got the nerve to blog. haha.
How's your summer going?
I just realized mine wasn't that boring after all.
It's a food-filled summer! LOL.

My lil kiddo turned three last 9th of April.
Weee.. He's a big kid now!
Thank you Lord for the gift of life. :')

We had a double celebration because my big bro's
lil princess also turned two.
Our babies are growing fast. Hihi.
My brother and his family made it home
here to celebrate it with us.
It's because they're based at Ipil,
Zamboanga Sibugay.
I'm glad they find time to come home again.
So we're one happy and complete family
once again.

Unfortunately, I can't show you photos
during the said birthday celebration.
I transferred the pictures in my lappy, and my
lappy is out for vacation. LOL.
It's with mom. She's currently out of town.
Mom's making me envy again. She's always traveling.. T__T

But anyways, I have photos here with me
about our escapade after the birthday party.
BEACH baby!
Basilan is blessed with
breathtaking natural resources and spots.
Simple yet elegant in its own way.
I could vouch to that.
Feed your sight with these random
shots around Basilan.
Just a short tour.
I hope these wont bore you. :)

A small falls just located near the road.
 Road trippin'..

Brother with my kiddo

Bro's GF with D.

Fell inlove with this.
Who love beaches more than we do? :D

The famous Malawi Island's white beach

My D's afraid of the water! haha
 Fuego Fuego

The next pictures are our beach
outing with the family.
The place is called Lampinigan Island.
A separate island but still goes
along the Basilan border.
Quite far and no assurance
of the place's safety.
It's a 20 to 30 minutes ride with a bangka.
I find the bangka not that convenient.
Walang atip! So we're exposed
under the heat in almost 30 minutes! Grrr.
But we love adventure! haha.
Though I got a KJ dad. lol.
We went to beach with the
wrong beach attire.
We don't want to catch attention
so we dressed ordinarily.

Brother's wife with lil princess Chaela.

Lovin' this natural rock formation

Mom's epic shot. lol.
I swear she got those water in her ears. haha,

Happy family

Brothers and sister.
 I was so busy enjoying
this white sand beach that's why I'm not
in most of the pictures or any?  -__-

Mom with her friends

With all the sun exposures,
I got toasted. haha.
Super tan!
Sun-kissed = summer!

And that's all for now.
Thanks for visiting! :)

BRUSH CLEANING

Hello bloggers! Howdy?
Been a busy mommeh lately so
I haven't been updating my blog.
My blog looked so empty. LOL

Last week I got the chance to be with friends.
And one of them do painting.
His favorite past time aside from drawing.
He is one good artist as for me. :)

Before he began, he cleaned his brushes first.
The way he did it give me a brilliant idea.
I would clean my cute little make up brushes
just the way he did it.

And here's how it goes...

What we need:
1. anti-bacterial liquid soap (hand soap or dish washing soap)
-I think it is a must that the soap should be anti-bacterial
to thoroughly remove all makeup residues, body oils, dead skin and
dirt that make brush havens for bacteria which can cause breakouts.
2. olive oil
- Dish washing is soap is gonna strip the hair of its natural oil
and will dry out the hair. That's why we need this olive oil
to recondition the brushes.

We have to clean our brushes regularly
to prevent breakouts.
As much as possible, we should
sanitize/disinfect them daily.

I've been at home like a month now
so I haven't been painting my face. LOL.
I just got my uncleaned brushes (because I cleaned the
rest right after I went home from laag with friends.hihi)

I bought this olive oil before summer
vacation came (before its time to go home).
Opted for this one rather than the extra
virgin olive oil. The extra virgin costs like almost
times two than the regular one and I'm on budget. HAHA.
I personally use this for my hair and sometimes, face.
The extra virgin olive oil is very good for the face. It's
a natural acne treatment. Go for natural!

We got a non antibac dish washing soap at home,
so I head out to the nearest store and bought this:

P5 lang! hehe. Settled for this then.

Moving on...

I got my dirty brushes and a white plate.
I included my mascara here because my mascara's brush is
so I-DONT-KNOW what na.

And on the process...
Mix the soap and olive oil on the plate.

I poured small amount of soap and oil
because I got just these tiny brushes.

Then, dip your brush in it and stir in a circular motion.
And wipe them back and forth in your hands.
I didn't got the chance to take pictures of them
wiping on my hands because I'm using both of my hands. HAHA. (MALAMANG!)

Look at these.
See how the residues are off the brush.
Mascara brush.
Looked so EUWW..

There you go. After that, you just have to wash them.
Lukewarm water will do. But NOT hot water.
It will definitely gonna damage your brushes.
And then just wipe them dry with a regular towel.

TADAAAH!

CLEAN BRUSHES!
Cleaned my brushes in an affordable way.
And I had fun doing this. LOL.

Hope this post helped.
Have a great Tuesday everyone! :)
